“ To all at Davyhulme Primary ... “ - A Show of “ deep and profound appreciation of your hard work “( from one of our families ).

18th Jun 2020

Thank you so much to this family for their kind gesture and to all the other parents and families who have been so supportive of what we are trying to deal with at the moment. We do not need or solicit gifts flowers , chocolates or wine just a kind word and perhaps a little bit more understanding.

We know that the vast majority of parents support our approach and for our part we are listening to some of the feedback you have offered :

  • We are currently looking at ways to increase the Learning Bubbles in a safe and pragmatic way.
  • Teachers are planning to have at least one Zoom session with larger groups of children either weekly or fortnightly.
  • TAs and teachers have been making contact phone calls with parents and carers of pupils.
  • We are looking at how we can support families by loaning them tablets or Chrome books.
  • We are also drawing up plans on ways we can have the whole school back in September even if it is on a rota basis with a mixture of coming in for just mornings, just afternoons , set days or one week in every two , three or four weeks - all options are being considered by the SLT as we agree that all children should return for some face to face time with their teacher.
  • Anything we do consider will be adopted to suit our context here at Davyhulme Primary School.

Once again thank you for your support , comments and suggestions - let’s keep the conversation positive 🌈.
