Y5 are busy working on an exciting project to do with the play 'King Lear ' by William Shakespeare. They will be performing their work at the Royal Exchange in Manchester later this year which means they will not be able to perform the Passion Play in school next week as there is a lot of work involved in the Shakespeare project. Key Stage 2 pupils (Y3 -Y6 ) will be singing many of the songs from ' Hosanna ! ' next week in the Junior hall. The singing will be led by Y6 during a special 'one-off ' assembly. Parents, carers and friends from the community will not be able to attend on this occassion because of the Health and safety limits on hall capacity. | This Month's Value is... Respect!

All things ‘History’

14th Feb 2020

The children in Key Stage 2 have been treated to some fantastic, high-quality 'History Timeline' boards in the large Junior playground. These boards give the children an overview of the history that we study at school, but also some periods we don’t get the chance to cover. Hopefully,  they will give the children an idea where their topic fits in and also show them their place in the history of this island.

We also have some boards dedicated to local heroes, famous local places to name just a few. Each board has a question that is there to spark curiosity in our children’s minds and perhaps be the basis of some individual research at home.

I'm sure you'd agree: they look fantastic!
