Y5 are busy working on an exciting project to do with the play 'King Lear ' by William Shakespeare. They will be performing their work at the Royal Exchange in Manchester later this year which means they will not be able to perform the Passion Play in school next week as there is a lot of work involved in the Shakespeare project. Key Stage 2 pupils (Y3 -Y6 ) will be singing many of the songs from ' Hosanna ! ' next week in the Junior hall. The singing will be led by Y6 during a special 'one-off ' assembly. Parents, carers and friends from the community will not be able to attend on this occassion because of the Health and safety limits on hall capacity. | This Month's Value is... Respect!

Coronation 1953

4th May 2023

It's been 70 years since the Coronation of Elizabeth II; our Junior School was only 13 years old and our Infants School was only 3 years old! You can see in these photographs how different our classrooms looked in those days, but perhaps some similarities! I think teachers nowadays would love desks like the ones shown- all that storage!

Can you work out what classrooms these photographs show?

Maybe you could create a souvenir scrap book to commemorate this weekend's historical events- something you could look back on in 70 years!
