Davyhulme Primary School, Davyhulme
Y5 are busy working on an exciting project to do with the play 'King Lear ' by William Shakespeare. They will be performing their work at the Royal Exchange in Manchester later this year which means they will not be able to perform the Passion Play in school next week as there is a lot of work involved in the Shakespeare project. Key Stage 2 pupils (Y3 -Y6 ) will be singing many of the songs from ' Hosanna ! ' next week in the Junior hall. The singing will be led by Y6 during a special 'one-off ' assembly. Parents, carers and friends from the community will not be able to attend on this occassion because of the Health and safety limits on hall capacity. | This Month's Value is... Respect!

Grasmere with Y5 2019 - One of the Best Year Groups Ever !

7th May 2019

One of ' The Best Year Groups Ever ' accolade was mainly due to the fact that they were all asleep on the first night by 10pm which was greatly appreciated by the staff. They also worked extremely well together in small teams to complete many of the tasks we gave them on the river study and village work.

Even going to the park and playing nicely with each other was an absolute pleasure. One resident stopped Miss Brookes to tell her how impressed she was by the behaviour of the children going to and from the park , " As a mother of very young children I was so pleased that your children were so quiet and did not wake my babies up ".

So Y5 you can all be very pleased with yourselves as you were a credit to your parents , the staff and the school as a whole - WELL DONE !
