Author Visit

We love to read at D.P.S.! One of the many ways in which we celebrate our love of reading is to invite authors to our school to share their books and to talk with us about the writing process. We have been lucky to welcome lots of authors to our school over the years, largely thanks to our close relationship with Urmston Bookshop.
Today, we welcomed the author Marie Basting. She came to share her new book, My Family and Other Romans’. Marie was brilliant and spent lots of time talking to the children about her life, how she writes and where she gets the ideas for her stories. Hopefully, she has inspired lots of our children to get reading and to write their own stories.
