Davyhulme hosted this year's local schools Cross Country event for Years 1-6. Victoria Park Infant School; Victoria Park Junior School; Moss Park Primary School; and Davyhulme all took part. The children all did tremendously well and really did themselves and the school proud. It was heartwarming to see the children cheering and encouraging every single runner during the race, no matter their position.
Years 1 & 2 deserve a special mention as their race was first which meant they had a lot of waiting around and spectating, but they all managed well and enjoyed themselves in the process.
Well done to all the children for taking part, although we came away with nearly a clean sweep of trophies, every single children who got round that track was a winner.
Thank you to all the parents and carers for your support, I know that some of the children will always remember that final stretch of the race where everybody was cheering them.
