Y6 Leaver’s Assembly Trophy Winners ! Getting Their Special Day Off to a Great Start !

15th Jul 2021

Mr McDowell was delighted to lead this final assembly for Y6 in which he thanked all the people involved in helping Y6 reach this exciting day . There are not enough thank yous to make up for the enormous efforts that have been made to mitigate the effects of COVID19 and make this a special day.

The PTA have worked tirelessly to provide a lovely experience for the children so we would like to thank Sam Goffin and her team ( special mention to Dylan's Dad who has been at every PTA ebvent over the years and will now be leaving us as Dylan is the last one to ' go through ' for all that they have provided ( more details to follow , I wouldn’t want to spoil any surprises) particularly the ‘t’ shirts , the trophies and the afternoon disco and party -it was AMAZING !

" The best School Disco I have ever seen ! " - Mrs Osler .

Congratulations to Red Team who are this year’s big winners across the year - we also awarded trophies to boys and girls in the following categories - DPS Values- Remote Learners of the Year - Sports Awards - The Endeavour Awards - Science Awards - Mathematics and finally The Awards for English. Many staff made suggestions and where we could not agree we made three awards …that was how difficult it was to choose.

There are a few photographs here to give you a flavour of the occasion but there will be more to follow …the PTA official photographer was very busy all afternoon.

Mr McDowell did suggest to the children that this could be their last day ( because of the mixing ) so let it be a great day ...and it was ! The children were very well behaved and the PTA volunteers put a great party on for them all, so if that WAS their last day then it was a belter !

Fingers crossed Y6 will join us all again next week.
